| Went to spring special last night, and wow. Yes the drill team was amazing, and the drumline dominated, (thats my boys) but there was something else there too. when the officers were doing their last dance at NW, i got this realization. That my highschool life is actually over. Most of my friends at highschool last year were either jrs or seniors. and my senior class is gone form NW, but i had still have my friends that were the Jr. class who are now going to be graduating seniors. Last night i realized in a few days they will all be gone too, and i will no longer be able to say that i know people at NW accept for a small few. Pretty soon SMNW will just be another building with people i dont know. I felt really sad the rest of the night, but im glad i came to that realization now instead of later. I still have my memories, and ill will have to continue to make new ones. I don't know if i really wanna use xanga much longer because no one seems to be using it anymore. This is probably one of my last entrys. see ya all on the slip side

| so i've come to the conlcusion today, after reading the newspaper and seeing that Moussaoui is not going to recieve the death penalty, that the American Justice System is filled witha bunch of pussy's. Especially the people in the Jury. I mean come on, in 2001 Robert Hensson, former FBI agent, got life in prison without porrol for selling a some secrets to the soviet government. And the guy who helped plot to kill 3,000 American citizens people is diservant of the same punishment? refreakindiculous. The jurors reasoning for this decision was that "he was shown racism in while living France" and "he was beaten as a child and had a rough childhood" and "his extended periods in orphanages as a child" Do i give a shit? Do the relatives of the 3,000 who died give a shit? NO. So to all you future felons out there, make sure that your jurors know you had a "rough" childhood and you have some kind of "mental health problem" and im sure you'll get off the hook. And you wonder why the terrorist attacks keep happening, and kept happening through out the 80's and 90's? cause they dont fear us. cause we didn't do anything about it. and we didnt do anything about Moussaoui. After his court hearing he shouted, "America you lost, you lost!" and "God save Osahma bin Ladden, you'll never find him." that right there should have been justification for a pistol to the back of the head. I also read about a 17 year old Blue Valley girl who killed her mom. You wanna know what her sentence was? 8 years. 8 YEARS. I know of crack dealers who are getting 25 to 30 years, but a girl who slays her mom gets 8? wow America, wow. pick up your ball's cause im pretty sure you have lost them. | | |
| I'm pretty sure Ronald Reagan was the last really outstanding President we've had.
"The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant: It's just that they know so much that isn't so."

"If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."

| Today in class one of my friends who i think is agnostic asked me, " So why do you think your faith is so important and what makes it so much better compared to other religions." He knew i was a Christian and we had been talking about the Church or something when he asked me this question. I didn't know what to say at first, I was kinda caught by surprise by the question. Then all of a sudden I started speaking. The words just began flowing out of my mouth like I had known what he was going to ask all along. I said " Its becasue my faith in Christ is like water. Where ever you find it, there you will also find life. Sometimes you see it in abundance, and sometimes in small amounts. Those who have it thrive and grow while those who don't wither and die. And both are gifts from God. Thats why its so important, just as water is a nessecity for the physical body, so is Christ for the spiritual body."
I then thought to myself wow what just happened. Looked at me and said, " wow dude, that probably the best answer i had ever heard. Thanks for sharing." Then he got up and said goodbye to go to his next class. I'm pretty sure the Holy Spirit had something to do with that, its like he put the words in my mouth. Hopefully He changed something in my friend as well.

| READ THIS MANS STORY!
One day, when I was a freshman in high school,
I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school.
His name was Kyle.
It looked like he was carrying all of his books.
I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday?
He must really be a nerd."
I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.
As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him.
They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt.
His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.
He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes
My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.
As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. "
They really should get lives.
" He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!"
There was a big smile on his face.
It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.
I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived.
As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before.
He said he had gone to private school before now.
I would have never hung out with a private school kid before.
We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books.
He turned out to be a pretty cool kid.
I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends
He said yes
We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.
Monday morning came! , and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again.
I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!
" He just laughed and handed me half the books.
Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends.
When we were seniors, we began to think about college.
Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke.
I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem.
He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship.
Kyle was valedictorian of our class.
I teased him all the time about being a nerd.
He had to prepare a speech for graduation.
I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak
Graduation day, I saw Kyle.
He looked great.
He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school.
He filled out and actually looked good in glasses.
He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him.
Boy, sometimes I was jealous! Today was one of those days.
I could see that he was nervous about his speech.
So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!"
He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled.
" Thanks," he said.
As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began
"Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years.
Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends...
I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them.
I am going to tell you a story."
I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met.
He had planned to kill himself over the weekend.
He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home.
He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.
"Thankfully, I was saved.
My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable"
I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment.
I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile.
Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.
Never underestimate the power of your actions.
With one small gesture you can change a person's life.
For better or for worse.
God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another in some way.
